I bought myself a new HDD for my PS3. I went from the original 60GB to a 320GB. The only thing I don't like about installing a new HDD is that after formatting, the HDD only actually has 298GB. This happens because the PS3 OS uses a certain amount of space. However, I can live with this, because I now have 221GB of free space once I restored my backup to the new HDD. My old HDD was down to 15GB of free space due to all of my games and two downloaded movies. I'm not real sure why Sony didn't use larger HDDs to begin with. I suppose in the beginning it was a cost issue.
