I am going to be dropping off my resume' at the local newspaper for a job opening they have listed. They are doing interviews next week. The job involves typesetting, page layout and photography. I was the school photographer for four years when I was in high school for both the school paper and the yearbook. Plus, I was in journalism class for two years. The journalism class put out the school paper. So, keep your fingers crossed for me.

Well, I have an interview this morning for this job. I'm not sure how many others applied for this position. I am really hoping that I can get hired for this job. I truly want to get away from the horse stables.

The interview seemed to go just fine for me. I learned about what the job entails and what would be expected of me. I will hear something by this Friday whether I get the job or not.

It looks like I won't be a newspaper person. I received the phone call that I dreaded yesterday. I wasn't hired due to the fact that my typing isn't very fast. I guess I just keep looking. It is difficult right now, since my going to my current job is so dependent on the weather. I am working outside and if the weather is uncooperative, I can't go in.

Well, my job search continues. I now have my resume' in to two different places. One job is tractor mechanic at an area truck and tractor repair shop, the other is for an automotive machinist at a local auto parts store. Right now I would take either job. But, in all honesty, I would actually prefer the machinist job. I applied for this same job at the same store last year but never heard anything. So, maybe this is a good omen that they posted the job again.(wishful thinking)

I am finally one step closer to having a new job. I had an interview on Tuesday and am going back next Monday for screening. The screening entails lifting capablilities, grip strength, and ability to use power tools. I will most likely have to pee in a cup also. This job is at the same company where Camaska works. We like to work for the same employer, we have done this for our last three jobs. We will also save on fuel expenses, since we would both be working the same shift and at the same company. I will know more Monday if I actually have the job.

AAARRRGGGHHHH...... Ok the screening seemed to go okay today at the company I applied to. Unfortunately, I won't know anything until next week as to whether or not I am actually hired. The thing is that even if I do get the job, I probably won't start until the middle of June. Then there is a lay-off at the end of June for two weeks.
