As most of you know by now, I have been fighting some horrible back pain. From all indications I have a herniated disc in my lower back. I am going for an MRI and xrays tomorrow. I am expecting to be having surgery in the very near future. I only hope that the surgery takes care of all the pain.

Quick update: I had the MRI and x-rays done on the 24th and I am still awaiting the results. I should be hearing from the doctor by this coming Tuesday July 31. The thing that makes this so unbearable is the fact that the pain runs down my left leg, which makes walking difficult at times. Most of the time the pain is centralized at the base of my spine and on top of my left hip. I'll keep you all updated as to what is happening with this. I will be popping in on occasion in the game.

I went to therapy today and thought I was going to pass out from the pain. They put me in traction once again today and the pain I felt was indescribable. I should hear about the results from the MRI tomorrow.

Well, I just heard from the doctor's nurse. I have herniated discs, more than one is herniated. They are now in the process of arranging an appointment with a neurosurgeon. I figure I will be seeing him next week. I'll keep you updated.

Well, today is the day. I will update my status when I get home this evening. Of course the surgeon may just admit me to the hospital today. So, if you don't see me in-game or an update here, I am probably in the hospital.

Ok, here's the deal. I am having surgery next Wednesday August 15. I found out that I have one herniated disc and one that is fragmented. The fragmented disc had a piece of it break off and the piece is floating around. At this point I am going to be out of commission for about three weeks after the surgery. The first week or so I won't be on the game at all because I'm not suppose to be sitting for an extended period of time. Once I return home after my surgery I will try to update everyone with my status.

Hope the surgery goes well.
My mother had surgery on a herniated disc in her neck, and she was still in some pain after the surgey, but as she recovered the pain subsided and she was back to normal again.
Though she started having a hard time looking behind her when she backed the car up, but that was expected, lol.

i think we all need to send mic a get well card. and then fill his hostpital room full of get well balloons and have a bunch of 3rd graders write letters to him and draw little pictures in crayon.
But all joking aside, no need in hoping the surgery goes well cuz I know it will go smoothly. all will go well and before we all know it you'll be back being the father of our dysfuntional family.

Well, I'm home and everything is just fine. I have a six inch incission with seventeen staples. I am doing fine, I have some pain but it is from the incission. I will pop on the game Saturday before Dynamis just to say hi then I will be getting off. You should see me more as I heal more.

I had my staples removed on Friday, what an experience that was. I now have steri-strips covering my incision. Steri-strips are these narrow pieces of surgical tape that resemble butterflies. According to the doctor the strips will fall off on thier own. My scar is starting to itch like crazy now. I plan on returning to work tomorrow, but I will be there in a very limited capacity. Lifting is completely out of the question for quite a time. I found a business oportunity listed in the paper that I would love to do. It is a pinstriping and graphics decals business. This would be perfect for me since I wouldn't be doing any heavy lifting or labor. Unfortunately, there isn't anyway that I could buy the business. There isn't any bank in exsistence that would give me a loan.

Try the bank of Nianna. although there seems to be a black hole that sucks up important letters/packages between CA and MN.

OMFG!!!! I worked a full day today, and do I hurt. My back muscles are just screaming at me right now. The sad thing is, I didn't even do any lifting. It's just that I am moving around more and the muscles are trying to compensate.
